I’m writing this email in hopes that you can help spread the word about this God Fearing Man.
Our Family and the Community hearts are heavy right now. Diagnosed on January 26, 2014 at the age of 31 Ralph Collins Jr, a well known Barber in the Houston Area passed away at 4:01 a.m. at Houston Hospice from his fight with one of the most aggressive forms of Brain Cancer(Glioblastoma) on Sunday August 17,2014 at the age of 32.He was surrounded at his bedside by his mother and two sons ages 3 and 4. As a Barber he has serviced Celebrities and the South Park area of Houston for more than 10 years. Ralph was a Deacon at his church, New Greater Faith Baptist Church in Houston, a loving Father, Son, Brother, Cousin, and Friend. Ralph touched many lives in the community from providing free haircuts to youths who parent(s) could not afford it on holidays and back to school drives each year as well as helping with church functions including feeding the needy . With over a thousand Social Media Friends and Family he will truly be missed. Unfortunately because of his young age Ralph felt that he would only need Accidental Death Insurance at this time and would purchase Life insurance later in life. However, because of the nature of his death the Accidental Coverage will not be sufficient in Funeral Cost.Ralph was unable to get government assistance. The cost of the funeral which includes burial services at Houston Memorial Garden is $8,000.00. We are praying to get help from the Community and Businesses, anything will help.
