Oh Oh I hope this is not true. If it is true they should pay the artist his money and give him the credit he deserves.

Sixteen years after his first FIFA World Cup hit “The Cup of Life”, pop star Ricky Martin scored a second goal with “Vida.” But this time, the World Cup anthem is accompanied by a $ 10 million lawsuit.

Luis Adrian Cortes, a singer and songwriter who was an Idol Puerto Rico finalist in 2011, is suing Martin for alleged plagiarism. Cortes established the case against the international star and multiple Sony Music affiliates at the end of last month.

According to the lawsuit, Martin and Sony Music launched a contest called SuperSong to find the best song for the World Cup late last year. The organizers promised to give credit to the winning song-writer.
