(Boston, MA)  —  New scientific tests don’t show any evidence that an ancient text referring to Jesus being married is a modern forgery.  An article in the “Harvard Theological Review” published Thursday says findings support the claim that the text, written in the eighth century on ancient Egyptian papyrus, is almost certainly authentic.  The tiny scrap is about the size of a business card and contains only eight partial lines.  One reads, “And Jesus said to them, ‘My wife.'” The next reads, “She will be able to be my disciple.”  The text was first presented at a conference in Rome 18 months ago.
