(HOUSTON) — Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputies are warning residents to be on the look-out for a man pretending to be one of them.
The man entered a residence in full uniform and started yelling at the homeowner. The fake deputy was wearing a tan Liberty County uniform shirt with the correct patches, but did not have a badge — just a nameplate with J.J. Edwards on it.
Liberty County switched to a blue uniform shirt last year and no one by that name has ever worked for the department. The man also wore a gun and carried handcuffs.
The public is asked to be cautious if they encounter this man.
