Fans of Mickey Factz have a reason to celebrate now that the Bronx MC has officially been signed.

The co-owner of GFC New York that was reportedly in talks to sign to Roc Nation has found a home at Battery Records.

Factz’ signing was confirmed by Battery’s general manager and Senior Vice President Neil Levine who told HipHopWired in a press release

“Battery is pleased to announce the signing of Mickey Factz… He is an amazing artist with an impressive body of work, a strong work ethic and a very relevant brand. He is now poised for major national and international success.”


Factz was recognized in XXL magazine as one of their “Freshman 10” in 2008 alongside Wale, Curren$y, Asher Roth and B.O.B.

Battery Records, an imprint of Jive, is home to Chalie Boy, 6 Tre G, D.C. Don Juan and the creators of “The Stanky Leg”, The GS Boys.

Speaking on his new home Mickey issued a statement saying,

“My career as an artist has been a grand journey up to this point for my team GFCnewyork, and myself. Battery is the greatest compromise as they understand my vision and where we will be taking it. I’m glad to welcome them as a part of my team and The Black Apple experience. Truthfully, let the games begin.”
