If you’ve ever watched Maury you have seen ample episodes about paternity. Maury helps women to prove to their baby’s fathers that they “ARE THE FATHER”, or helps the moms to cope with the fact that the first seven men who were tested though not the father, they will not stop their efforts in them finding the right one. Its honestly a little sad to watch to see so many children born in those circumstances. A lot of times the moms are young and still growing as individuals and were not careful to protect themselves so they wind up pregnant and not properly prepared, but luckily this situation has taken a turn for the better.
Teenage pregnancy rates in the United States have reached a historic low.
According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, pregnancy has declined by 52 percent for 15-17 year-olds and 36 percent for 18-19 year-olds. And for Black teens alone, the rate has fallen 51 percent between the years of 1990 and 2009.
Campaign CEO Sarah Brown said the “decline has been fueled by three factors: more teens are waiting to have sex; they also report fewer sexual partners and better use of contraception.”
Shout out to the teens out there who are being responsible and making the right decisions. Those positive choices will make for a brighter future for you.
