I had a great time at the 9th annual Black Weblog Awards in Houston Saturday night at the Ensemble Theatre. The event recognizes bloggers of African-American descent for their contributions in blogging, video blogging, and podcasting. Legendary entertainment blogger Necole Kane AKA Necole Bitchie was honored as the Blogger of the Year and some local talent was on display amongst the winners from all over the country including Iriel Franklin, who won best fitness blog/vlog for her website GetFitOrGetFat.com. It was a star-studded night and lots of fun thanks to my beautiful and talented cohosts Ayana Mack, Jillian “JJonthemic” Simmons and Sky Houston.
