Lil Wayne is using his star power to help raise funds for the Miami-based nonprofit group the Motivational Edge. The organization provides inner-city youth with after-school programs centered around the arts. In a video posted on the crowdfunding website IndieGoGo.com, Lil Wayne recalls how being educated in music helped him get out of the poverty-stricken neighborhood he grew up in. Those who donate to the Motivational Edge’s cause can earn perks such as lithographs of Lil Wayne and autographed merchandise. The Motivational Edge is hoping to earn 200-thousand-dollars and has already raised 32-thousand-dollars.
