Authorities are still investigating why a civilian contractor and military veteran with a valid base entry pass went on s shooting rampage at a U.S. Navy command complex Monday.

The suspected gunman, 34-year old Aaron Alexis, killed 12 people before being shot dead authorities.   The victims range in age from 46 to 73.  In addition to those that died, eight others were injured, including three who were shot.

Friends of the suspected gunman says he was a devout Buddhist and having a tough time making money.
