Former NFL New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was back in court today for a probable cause hearing. The probable cause hearing is to establish two things: 1) that a crime has been committed, and 2) that Hernandez committed the crime.
Prosecutors must show that their is enough evidence to bring the case for a formal indictment before a grand jury. Hernandez is being charged with allegedly murdering Odin Lloyd a semi pro football player. Aaron who attended court in a suit mouthed “I love you” to his family when he entered the courtroom.

Lloyd’s parents were also in attendance at the hearing and were understandably very emotional. Aaron’s lawyers asked the judge to not allow the release of more information about the case to the media. His lawyer claimed that it objects to his right to a fair trial but the request was denied by the judge.
