(Undated)  —  A Chinese man’s run-in with police over a minor traffic violation soon turned into something much worse when his wife arrived on the scene.  According to “China Smack,” the motorist was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt.  But he didn’t have his license on him, so he was forced to call his wife and ask her to bring it to him.  At that point, he asked the woman who had been in the car with him to leave, and promised to call her later.  When his wife arrived, she asked her husband why he wasn’t at work like he said he would be, and demanded to know who had been in the car with him.  He lied and said it was a man he worked with, asking if they could continue the conversation later.  The entire confrontation was caught on tape for a police video about traffic safety, and despite the driver’s protests, it eventually aired on Chinese TV.  Several versions have also made their way online, reportedly racking up more than two-million hits.
