Adam Lambert isn’t winning many fans with his appearance at the 2009 American Music Awards. According to a PopEater.com poll, 87-percent say the performance from the “American Idol” runnerup was “too risque” and “offensive.” Just 13-percent thought it was “fine.” The 27-year-old glam rock powerhouse performed his new single “For Your Entertainment” to eyebrow raising theatrics on Sunday night’s AMAs. Some of the jaw-dropping highlights included Lambert pushing a male dancer’s head into his crotch and simulating oral sex, walking dancers on leashes, and making out with a male keyboard player. Backstage at the event Lambert, who is openly gay, told “Rolling Stone” his intention was to promote “freedom of expression and artistic freedom,” not to upset anyone. He added, quote, “We’re in 2009 — it’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them.”
