Rapper Busta Rhymes is headed to court. The legendary rhymer is being sued by a recording studio for racking up excessive hours in the studio without paying for any of it.

Paramount Recording Studios is suing the recent Young Money signee for $70,300. According to them, Bussa Bus used their studio for more than 375 hours and hasn’t paid one red cent. The studio is now looking for a judge to get their money back from the animated performer. Paramount Recording Studio itemized each time Busta Rhymes used their facility and the itemized list shows how dedicated Busta is to recording. Sometimes, he would be in a session for more than 16 hours.

The unpaid recording sessions took place between 2011 and 2012. The legal documents give an example of how much Busta Rhymes was in Paramount Studios on the following dates:

December 5th, 2011 — Busta punched in at 3PM and punched out at 7AM

January 15th, 2012 — In at 7PM, out at 3AM

January 18th, 2012 — In at 9PM, out at 6AM

February 12th, 2012 — In at 10pm, out at 6AM

The $70,300 is being sued for is spread over 35 sessions which breaks down to $2,008.57 per session. Busta Rhymes hasn’t commented about the lawsuit or the accusations by the studio yet.
