Kanye West wants Will Smith to re-enter the hip-hop world. Smith tells HipHollywood.com Kanye has been “pushing” him to get back into rap music. In fact, the two have even been in the studio together “a couple of times.” Smith admits that he may get the “bug” to put out new music, but says he won’t do it unless he’s “truly inspired.” While Smith has put out four solo albums, he has not released a new record since 2005’s “Lost and Found.” Featuring collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Robin Thicke, the album went on to earn a gold certification. The album’s lead single “Switch” peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
Will Smith and his son Jaden are gearing up to star in the upcoming film “After Earth,” which hits theaters on May 31st. Zoe Kravitz and Isabelle Furhman also star in the film.
