Reebok has dropped Rick Ross from his lucrative endorsement deal after his controversial lyrics caused a stir among women’s rights advocates.
Last week, Ross began taking heat for lyrics heard in his song U.O.E.N.O. The offending lyrics, TMZ reports, alluded to date rape according to some opponents.

Reebok defended the rapper, but said it was time to part ways:
“While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
