Kendrick Lamar will be going live from New York.  According to TVLine.com, the rapper is slated to performance as the musical guest on the January 26th episode of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”  The appearance will be Lamar’s first on the sketch comedy show.  He will likely perform hits from his debut album “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” [[Good Kid, Mad City]], which hit stores back in October.  “The Voice” coach and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is set to host the show.  Levine has previously appeared with Maroon 5 as the musical guest on SNL, but this will mark his first time hosting.

“Saturday Night Live” will return from its holiday break on January 19th with host Jennifer Lawrence and musical guest The Lumineers.
