Meek Mill is one of those rare rappers with the mentality of a loyal man and a real story to tell. You can hear his family mentioned in almost all of his music. They are the first people he talks about and last people to go unmentioned. So when NYC was being pummeled by Hurricane Sandy, he was thinking of them instead of his debut album sales… No need to worry though, he’s projected to do numbers that should land him in the top five spot on the charts.

“This is my first release, and I’m supposed to be so happy for it. But the same day my album came out, I was more worried about how my family was holding out and a tree falling on my house,” said the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper in a statement. “I had a packed house, filled with my family, making sure they were good during this storm.”

One must take notice of the overwhelming positive response to his EP which I feel is one of the best discs this year! With young boys like Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Big Sean and Meek Mill on the scene, Hip-Hop is starting to look up.
