The Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys both have a need for an experienced wide receiver. The Texans have Andre Johnson coming off of dual hamstring injuries & the aging Kevin Walter as their starters but, after them its a collection of players who have never caught a pass in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys have Miles Austin, who has been hampered by hamstring injuries, and Dez Bryant who may be suspended at any moment for allegedly slapping his momma. Behind them is a group of rookies and inconsistent veterans.

So why wouldn’t the Texans and Cowboys kick the tires on Chad Johnson? Because it’s not everyday that a 6 time Pro-Bowl WR is on the open market.
