The accolades keep rolling in for the king of Queens. Nas’ Life Is Good has received the rare distinction of a XXL rating from XXL Magazine, the first album to receive such a rating since Kanye West’My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. In a review penned by Carl CheryXXL says Life Is Good is “arguably Nas’s best album since Stillmatic.”

“In a climate where substance is scarce, Life Is Good is necessary,” says Chery. “It’s potent from the excellent cover art to Nas’s sharp bars. It’s balanced. The Queens MC is open, but not emo. Hard, but thought-provoking.” Comparable to The Source’s legendary 5 Mic rating, XXL’s just as dubious distinction of an XXL rating is the highest honor an album can receive according to the publication.
