(Undated)  —  Jim Carrey is taking a pass on the long-awaited sequel to “Dumb and Dumber.”  ETOnline.com reports that Carrey pulled out of the project after becoming frustrated by the lack of enthusiasm from New Line and Warner Brothers.  The film, set to be titled “Dumber & Dumber To,” would have reunited Carrey with co-star Jeff Daniels along with directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly.  The news of Carrey’s withdrawal comes three months after Peter confirmed both leading men would reprise their comedic roles as Harry and Lloyd.  Though the future of the movie is unclear, no one seems more disappointed than Carrey, who issued a statement saying, “I would have thought ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ was a no-brainer, after all it’s implied in the title.”

Carrey will be teaming up with New Line and Warner Brothers in next year’s “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”
