Though the beef between Pusha T and the Young Money camp seems to have fizzled out, devoted fans of the two parties are wondering if the drama will make a comeback. Pusha T’s friend and collaborator The Dream hopes otherwise.

When asked by MTV News, The Dream said the best way for Pusha T to respond to diss tracks is to keep on making great music. The Dream offered his opinion by saying, “The only way that we can respond is make great records, and nobody is gonna beat me at that.”

Although The Dream produced Pusha’s track that ignited the fiery exchange between Young Money and Pusha T, he didn’t look at the song as a diss track. “I had actually no idea that anybody would jump out the window [thinking] that personally … it was about them,” expressed The Dream. “It kinda took me and the clique by surprise.”

Despite having had his own public spats with people, namely ex-wife Christina Milian, The Dream thinks rap beefs are played out like Kwame and those f**king polka dots. “If you’re talking to somebody, you speak to them or you just walk up to them and slap them.’ I think beef is so ’96. It’s like, what’s the point?” he rhetorically asked.
