According to the Harris County Medical Examiner, a woman whose body was found in a bathtub last week was strangled. Lashonda Moye was found dead on June 4 in her southwest Houston home. Police received a call from the home located in the 10200 block of Cherry Limb around 3:15 that morning. The caller told 911 that someone was trying to break in.

Dispatchers called the number back, but no one answered. When officers went to investigate, they found Moye’s body. Her boyfriend Nathan Mitchell, was also in the tub; he was alive. He was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both Moye and Mitchell were partially dressed and were sitting in water in the tub.
