Saturday June 9th marks the 20 year anniversary of Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s debut full-length, Mecca And The Soul Brother. The seminal hip-hop album featured classic cuts like “Straighten It Out,” “Lots Of Lovin” and of course They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y).” Fuse.TV caught up with producer Pete Rock for his memories of creating the album with former partner CL Smooth.
