(Mount Healthy, OH) — An Ohio family remains at odds with school officials in Mount Healthy over a controversial decision to withhold a student’s diploma. Anthony Cornist was denied his diploma because of “excessive cheering” during the recent graduation ceremony. Cornist and his family have been ordered to perform community service in order to get his diploma. School officials say they have rules to protect the dignity of the ceremony, while the family says they did nothing disruptive.
