(Undated)  —  A New Jersey mother is reacting to video of her child being put into a running washing machine at a laundromat in Camden.  Sakia David says her little boy was being watched by a babysitter and the babysitter’s boyfriend was the person who stuck the boy in the washer.  David tells NBC’s “Today” show the babysitter lied to her about how the child was injured, so she is pressing charges.

David says she didn’t find out what happened until she saw the video on the news and police came to her door to verify it was her child.  The surveillance video posted to YouTube earlier this month shows the boyfriend putting the boy into a front loading washing machine and closing the door.  The machine starts running and the the automatic lock kept the door from opening.  The attendant had to shut off the machine from behind before they could get the child out.  David says the boy had minor injuries, but she wants to have him checked out more thoroughly.
