(Miami, FL) — A malpractice trial is underway in Florida centering on a man who had his penis amputated. Enruque Milla underwent an elective procedure about five years ago to treat erectile dysfunction but a couple of weeks later had to have his organ amputated when he developed gangrene. He has filed a suit against his anesthesiologist over claims enough was not done to protect his health. His lawyer says the procedure should have been delayed by the anesthesiologist until his high blood pressure and diabetes were both under control. A settlement has been reached already with the doctor who performed the implant surgery.
