The world’s largest McDonald’s is currently being built for the 2012 Olympic Summer games.
Located in London, the 32,292 square foot restaurant will open for six weeks during the summer games.
Over 2,000 temporary employees will man the restaurant as it’s expected to serve more than 50,000 Big Macs and 18,000 orders of french fries. However, the world’s largest MickyD’s is already being critized by health experts.
McDonald’s Global Chief Brand Officer, Kevin Newell, says, “Most people when they talk about children’s well-being, they go immediately to the food, but…it’s also about education and activity – and the Olympics will set us up very nicely to launch a few things around children’s well-being.”
