According to published reports, a Houston police officer was arrested Wednesday for allegedly exposing himself to patrons in a Galveston bar. The officer is also accused of stabbing a man after he was escorted out.

According to Galveston Police, twenty-four-year-old Officer Miles Dumas was in a Galveston bar located on Strand when he exposed his genitals to a group of men and women. Dumas was then reportedly confronted by the men in the group and was asked to leave. He was then escorted outside by bar personnel.

Additional reports indicate that Dumas then reportedly stabbed one man. A friend of Dumas also reportedly struck another man in the face with a pistol. Both suspects fled the scene along with another man, identified as Michael Brady.

Dumas was found a short time later and arrested. He is charged with indecent exposure and aggravated assault. His bonds total $41,000. Brady was charged with failure to report a felony. A third suspect involved in the incident has charges pending.

Both victims were transported to UTMB with injuries that are reportedly non life-threatening. According to a spokesperson with HPD, Dumas who is an officer with the Westside patrol, will be relieved of duty with pay pending the outcome of an investigation. He has been an officer on the force since September of 2011.
