Shirley Murdock has already made the latter half of 2011 as busy and productive as possible. With a brand new release on Tyscot Records entitled “Live: The Journey,” the veteran soul and gospel vocalist has been occupied with promoting, touring and supporting her family with no signs of stopping anytime soon.
In fact, Murdock has just been confirmed as the newest cast member to perform in the forthcoming holiday comedy/musical “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” at the famed Apollo Theater in New York. She’ll be honing her acting chops and delivering riveting selections alongside R&B legend Freddie Jackson, gospel music’s Lisa Page Brooks and Sam Logan.
