(Undated) — Miami Heat star LeBron James stirred up a storm yesterday by tweeting “When is the deadline for a team to sign a free agent?” to ESPN NFL writer John Clayton. James and his fellow NBA’ers are staring the possibility of a cancelled NBA season in the face. Commissioner David Stern scuttled the first two weeks of games yesterday and, absent a major breakthrough in talks, more will soon follow. Further fueling speculation is the fact James practiced in full pads last week with his former high school team at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron.
