(Great Neck, NY)  —  An unusual SAT cheating ring has been broken up that officials in New York say includes a man being paid thousands of dollars to pose as students and take their tests.  More than half a dozen people have been arrested.  Prosecutors say they were involved in a scheme where Great Neck North High School students paid Sam Eshaghoff to take their tests.  Eshaghoff was allegedly given as much as 25-hundred-dollars to take the SATs to get higher scores for the students.  Teachers at the school caught wind of the ring and an investigation was kicked off.  Investigators looked into discrepancies between academic performance at school and students’ SAT scores.   The 19-year-old Eshaghoff is charged with scheme to defraud and criminal impersonation.
