An incoming Western Kentucky University freshman is going to have a hard time making it to classes this year after being banned from the campus over a planking spree.  Tyler Webster says he was surprised when he got the letter from WKU because he never thought he was doing anything wrong.  But the University chief of staff and general counsel Deborah Wilkins says Webster was defacing the school’s property by putting “This Spot Has Been Planked” stickers on campus artwork and statues.  Tyler and a friend run the website which is full of pictures of them lying flat on their stomachs in unconventional places.

Webster’s WKU planking adventure was detailed in a front page story in the “Bowling Green Daily News,” which led the school to take action.  He is now scheduled to meet with the director of judicial affairs to determine whether his ban will be permanent.
