Happy Birthday Breezy!!!
R&B star Chris Brown was born in Tappahanock, Virginia, on May 5, 1989. His mother worked as the director of a day care center and his father was a corrections officer at a local prison.
By his early teens, Chris had displayed a gift for singing and dancing. After a production team heard him singing at a gas station, he moved to New York City to record demos. He came to the attention of an A&R executive at Def Jam Records, who brought him in for an audition.
Legendary Def Jam chief L.A. Reid offered Brown a record deal on the spot and the label pulled out all the stops to sign the rising young talent. Brown even received a personal phone call from his idol Usher, who reached out on the label’s behalf.
“I was anticipating Usher to tell me to go with L.A. Reid but he didn’t,” Brown told Vibe Magazine. “He said ‘I’m not going to tell you who to go with. I’m just saying whatever decision you make, be sure it’s the best decision for you.”
And look at him now!!
Chris Brown‘s latest music video, “She Ain’t You,” pays tribute to Brown’s idol, Michael Jackson. The song is built around the foundation of SWV‘s “Right Here / Human Nature” remix which sampled MJ’s “Human Nature.”
Breezy shows off some of his best moves in the dance heavy video.
