Michael Vick: Oprah Winfrey Likely To Win Bet With Piers Morgan
Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick, who is the subject of a friendly wager between media mogul Oprah and CNN’s Piers Morgan over who will get an interview with QB first, recently spoke about the stake. He even named a front-runner.
Wednesday (January 19), Vick was on Mike Missanelli’s radio show on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia when he was asked about the bet and whom he thinks will win. The MVP runner-up had this to say,
“We’ll see. [Oprah will] probably win it cuz I know nothing about the other guy,” Vick admitted.
He added, “I enjoy the whole situation. I grew up watching Oprah. My mom and my aunt they even called me like crazy wanting to go so it may be something I may have to consider.”
As recently reported, Oprah and Piers Morgan (who took over Larry King’s spot on CNN) bet 200 British pounds – around $200 – on his inaugural show Monday (January 17) on who would be the first to land a one on one with the quarterback.
