24th ANNUAL CAREER & EDUCATION DAY!
The Houston Hispanic Forum will hold its 24th Annual Career and Education Day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010.
The purpose of the event is to motivate students in the community to stay in school. This event is open to ALL students in grades 6 – 12 (not just Hispanic students) and their families.
Every year 4 local, senior high school students are selected to represent “Career and Education Day” as ambassadors.
CONGRATULATIONS:
- Jose F. Joya
- David Moctezuma
- Nique Robinson
- Mariana Anguiano Verjan
These top students serve as great role models in their schools and furthermore in the community. Their stories of triumph and achievement will help gear many young scholars in the right direction. These students have faced difficult circumstances but have overcome obstacles against all odds.
The student Ambassadors and their parents are available for interviews or public service announcements upon your request. These students have such amazing stories behind their success that will motivate their fellow peers to further their education
