Hip-hop star DMX will be taking the stage this weekend in an unexpected venue. According to TMZ.com, the New York rapper will be performing at Glendale, Arizona’s Morning Star Sanctified Church for a fundraiser this Saturday. Pastor Barbara King says “X” and his family have been members of the congregation for the past eight months and the rapper really wants to help raise money for repairs. DMX discussed his upcoming performance with TMZ saying, quote, “This is an opportunity for me to use my gifts to benefit a good cause. My music offers hope! God has been good to me!” Tickets for Morning Star’s “Gospel Rap Extravaganza” are available between 35 and 40-dollars.

DMX is currently working on the albums “Walk With Me Now” and “You’ll Fly With Me Later.” Both records are expected in stores later this year.
