Two fitness trainers are suing Oprah Winfrey’s production company alleging that Harpo Inc. canceled a contract and refused to pay them. The “Chicago Tribune” reports Dina Castillo and Frank Nunez were asked to customize a fitness program for Winfrey’s 300 employees in 2008. They were also invited onto Winfrey’s satellite radio show in March 2009. When the pair emailed clients with the news, Harpo pulled the plug saying they’d violated a confidentiality agreement. The two trainers billed Harpo for the work they’d already done. But Harpo lawyers insist there was never any formal agreement.
