Rest assured, if any celebrities display excess droop in their drawers at the Grammys on Sunday, they will be hearing about it.

General Larry Platt, who gave us 2010’s first feel-good hit with his performance of “Pants on the Ground” on American Idol, will be belting out the tune once again during the music industry’s biggest night.

Unfortunately, Platt won’t be cautioning the world about the dangers of low-hanging pants during the ceremony. But he will be singing the song on the red carpet just prior to the show, as sort of an unofficial and highly unorthodox fashion correspondent.

We can only imagine Platt’s dismay when he encounters Lady GaGa and discovers that, not only are her pants not on the ground, but she’s not wearing any pants, and yet she still manages to look like a fool. He just might have to write a follow-up.
