A dispute over a television remote control reportedly led one Florida woman to try and kill her husband. Deloris Holley was arrested on Monday night for stabbing her spouse seven times. The argument reportedly began when Holley’s husband refused to change the channel from ESPN’s Monday Night Football to TNT’s “The Closer.” St. Petersburg police say Holley became angered when she couldn’t watch her show and went to the kitchen to grab a knife. Holley — who has only been married for five months — allegedly struck her husband in the head, face and shoulder, eventually puncturing his lung. The husband was taken to the Bayfront Medical Center for treatment, while Holley is being held without bond on attempted murder charges.
