HOUSTON – Police are trying to find a fake cop who beat up a 15-year-old girl, then sexually assaulted her last month.

The girl was outside an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Bellerive on Nov. 18, when the suspect walked up and hit her in the face. He told her he was an undercover police officer and that she was under arrest.

The man accused the 15-year-old of being in a gang and selling drugs.

He then drove her to a parking garage at Sharpstown Mall, now called PlazAmericas.

The victim told police the suspect pulled her out of the vehicle, beat her, kicked her and sexually assaulted her.

When he drove away, she ran into the mall for help.

The victim said the same man approached her a week earlier and asked her if she wanted to work at his club or make videos.

The man is described as Hispanic, late 20s to early 30s, about 5’8 and slightly overweight.

He was driving a dark green or dark blue 2005 Jeep Liberty. The girl said he was driving a white Dodge Charger the first time he approached her.

Anyone with information in this case or is urged to contact the HPD Major Offenders Division at 713-308-3100, the Juvenile Sex Crimes Unit at 713-531-5800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
