A Michigan man was arrested earlier this week after getting into a fight with his pet parrot. According to AnnArbor.com, three witnesses called police Tuesday night after they saw the man attack the animal. When Ann Arbor police arrived, they saw feathers “flying all over” as the man shook the bird. The parrot was fortunately able to defend itself, as it left one of the man’s thumbs scratched and bloodied. The 49-year-old suspect defended his behavior by telling authorities he was just trying to discipline and train the parrot. The man was taken to Washtenaw County Jail as he awaits charges.
