(Palmer, MA) — A 42-year-old Holland, Massachusetts, woman is in hot water for allegedly shooting her ex-husband with a pellet gun after he spoke to her sarcastically. Holland police said Ruth Foley was arraigned in Palmer District Court on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf. She was ordered held without the right to bail. David Cabral, Foley’s ex-husband, was bleeding from his left hand. Police said Cabral initially refused treatment, but later went to a hospital to have the pellet removed. He received several stitches.
