A Texas teen is learning not to mess with her parents’ rules.  “The Southlake Journal” reports that 16-year-old Kristin Rausch got unwanted attention after her parents purchased a newspaper ad with Kristin’s photo and an offer for “free babysitting.”  The ad was Kristin’s punishment for breaking curfew.  The teen’s “sentence” – aside from her self-described “embarrassment” over the ad — includes 30-hours of unpaid babysitting. Kristin’s mom, Wendy Rausch, says the ad and babysitting hours were the lesser of two punishments for breaking a household rule.  Wendy adds she and her husband had wanted their daughter to work with a community service organization, just as a misdemeanor offender might.   The Texas mother comments, quote, “We wanted [Kristin] to make it up with community service,” adding that her husband got the free labor idea from a situation he encountered at work.
