I’ve been DJ’ing since I was 15 yrs old. I have lugged around milk crates (normally 6-8 per gig) with 70 lbs. of records in them to party after party. Not to mention heavy a$$ turntables, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and countless wires. It’s a wonder I don’t have a bad back. (Thank God for dolly’s).

Recently, computer programs like Serato, Virtual DJ & Traktor have made it so all you need is a laptop, mp3’s, mixer, turntables or CDJ’s and some speakers to get started as a party rocker.

But, this Emulator looks like it is set to change the game forever. All the functions are operated by a touch screen. No need for the mixer & turntables anymore. It looks cool and deep down part of me wants to have it. I just don’t know how practical it would be. I doubt I would feel comfortable DJ’ing with a 42″ Sony Bravia every night.
