A Hayward, California man recently received a staggering surprise in the mail. According to “The Oakland Tribune,” Ted Estarija’s latest Verizon Wireless bill was nearly 22-thousand-dollars. Estarija says his bill is normally around 93-dollars, but it skyrocketed after he added his 13-year-old son to his plan. Reportedly, Estarija’s teen son generated such a high bill by downloading one-point-four-million kilobytes of data. Fortunately, Verizon was willing to work with Estarija, and has agreed to credit the entire bill. Verizon spokesman Heidi Flato states, “We want to do the right thing for the customer.” Ted Estarija says he will stay with Verizon, but he has suspended his son’s account.
