(Rouen, France)  —  A French convict was sentenced to another 30 years in prison Thursday for cannibalizing his cellmate.  The incident began when Nicolas Cocaign asked his cellmate to wash his hands after going to the bathroom one night in January 2007.  In the ensuing fight, Cocaign strangled the other inmate.  What happened next has earned the 37-year-old the nickname “the Hannibal Lector of France.”  He apparently cut open the man’s chest with a razor blade and took a bite out of the man’s lung, thinking it was his heart, before cooking the rest on a makeshift stove in his cell.  Cocaign had asked for psychiatric help nearly a decade before slaughtering his cellmate.  He told the court, quote, “What I did, I liked doing.”
