Michael Jackson’s former doctor, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February, will maintain his license.

Los Angeles superior Court Judge, Michael Pastor, refused to suspend the California medical license of Dr. Conrad Murray.

A suspension of his license would have canceled Murray’s ability to practice medicine in the state, which is what California authorities were striving for.

Murray’s legal team fought this restriction because they feared it would cause authorities in Texas and Nevada to take the same action. Murray has clinics in both of these states as well.

While this is one victory for the Murray camp, he still has a long legal battle ahead of him. The case on whether or not he is responsible for killing Michael Jackson is sure to be long and drawn out.

But nevertheless this small victory has to give Murray some positive feelings after months of negativity for the Doctor.
