(Washington, DC)  —  Simon and Schuster is recalling about 142-thousand copies of its children’s plush book “Monday the Bullfrog” due to a choking hazard.  It’s a frog puppet intended for babies and preschoolers that has a board book attached inside the frog’s mouth.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the publishing company has received three reports of the frog’s plastic eyes detaching from the puppet.  No choking injuries have been reported.  The book was sold between January 2006 and November of this year at bookstores and retailers nationwide and also online.  Consumers should immediately keep the book away from their children and contact Simon and Schuster for a free replacement product.
