An elderly Pennsylvania man had an unpleasant experience at a local Wal-Mart earlier this week. The “Pittsburgh Post-Gazette” reports that 72-year-old Wal-Mart greeter Thomas Jenkins was hospitalized after he was punched in the face. North Versailles resident Paul Washington is accused of randomly walking up to Jenkins and striking the senior greeter. A police officer was nearby at the time and arrested Washington in the parking lot. Jenkins was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for broken facial bones. Fifty-five-year-old Washington is facing charges of harassment, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and criminal mischief. He is being held at the Allegheny County Jail.
