Pimp C’s wife, Chinara Butler, is working hard to preserve her husband’s legacy in a positive way. Friday marked two years since the rapper’s death by an accidental overdose and Mrs. Butler marked the somber anniversary with the first annual Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip-Hop & Health/Wellness Fair. According to MTV.com, the event was set to take place in his hometown of Port Arthur, Texas, on Friday but was postponed until next Saturday, December 12th, because of weather. The fair will raise awareness among young people about AIDS, STD testing, and other health issues.

Pimp C’s partner in UGK, Bun B, says, quote, “It’s been two years since his passing, yet it still doesn’t seem so long ago we were in his bedroom writing ‘Tell Me Something Good,’ hoping for a chance.” Pimp C suffered from a pre-existing sleep disorder at the time of his death. He was found dead in his room at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.
